Unifi Dream Machine SE Recovery Notes
When booting into recovery mode (hold Reset button with paperclip while powering on), the device appears to bind the recovery IP (192.168.1.30) to the first interface it sees as “up”. If you have an SFP+ installed, it will probably show as “up” and you’ll be stuck wondering why you can’t ping the recovery IP on one of the LAN ports. Remove the SFP and it should start working.
